American Idol : The Guy Who Should Have Win

You know what, I don't actually watch the show throughout the season. Just the auditions simply because I find them to be funny, but I do keep up to date thanx to perezhilton.com

Now that its semester break, coincidentally it is also the finals! My clear favourite, has always been Adam Lambert. He was just, so different. A fresh air, he challenges what many people define an American Idol should be.

I mean to start with, his appearance. He's a natural strawberry blonde, but here he is with his dark hair and dark eye-liner. If you follow perezhilton.com, you would know that he is gay, and there are pictures of him as a drag queen.

But above all, throughout the competition, I feel that he has evolved sssooo much. He is just so talented, he sing songs and make it his own. Yeah, a little bummed that he didn't win. Thank god Kris Allen wasn't such a bitch and was pretty humble when he won.

People say this was like when Ruben won over Clay, well maybe... I mean Lambert is already ahead of Allen in the iTunes chart for the song he sang a few days ago, "Mad World." Brave choice I must say, the last time I heard that song was on CSI: Las Vegas.

Then there's this whole conspiracy where people say, the Christians voted for Allen. As they don't necessarily want a first-time gay Idol winner. Hhhmmm... I rest my case on this one. Ain't commenting on it since I'm a proud muslim and I follow my beliefs one hundred percent.

Above all, this is a singing & talent competition. Not a who's belief is better competition.

Kris Allen. He is definitely the dark horse. The guy next door. The tween choice I suppose. I'm not going to deny how talented he is, he's a talented guy too. I love the fact that he is married, that gives me a good impression of him.

Argh! I guess I'm just one-sided. I'm sure Kris will put on an album and go multi-platinum. But Lambert, he's a different story. I know he is going to be world-wide superstar!!! I loved how he had the audacity to sing with Queen & KISS!!! <3

I'm so lazy, I should be punished!!!

I am sooo lazy that I can’t even blog daily. I’m juz, 2 damn lazy!

I’m a bit bummed that my semester break is for a mere 2 weeks! That shouldn’t even be considered a semester break, more like, a 3 hour rest from what my brain will have to endure. Especially next sem. So much subject I am taking, Chemistry 2 and Mathematics 3 being two of them. Then there’s Computer 2 and FIM (which requires a lot of penghafalan, damn!). I’m gonna be one “hot mess” next sem, haha!

I guess until then, freedom is in my hand. And I shall use it 100% starting with waking up at literally 1 pm every single day at home so far. Its very weird, I’ve never woken up so late before, thank god my parents don’t bother to wake me up. I guess they understand how, my brain is just simply tired. Its so tired that I find myself even sleeping in the evening!!! I mean, I never tidur petang. A big no-no, if I do, there’s no way I can sleep during the night.

So anyways, to a more interesting matter, I am currently reading Angels & Demons. Ironically of course, the movie is out, and here I am reading the book. I gave it as a present for my dad, and he didn’t read it. Primarily because he’s reading a book written by Imam Al-Ghazali. My mom did warned me to not give myself a book as a present, nevertheless a thriller regarding Vatican City and how Christianity is in danger as my mom wants my dad to read more on Islamic books. Understood, but I can’t help myself.

When I buy my parents a gift, I try to buy something that even I can benefit. Usually food in the form of a cake. X P Or, a book! Well look how it turns out, I’m reading it for this semester break and already on page 189. The last sem break I read Confessions of A Shopaholic. The 1st sem break was spent reading Twilight! So there you go, a lot of reading during semester breaks.

So far this book has been interesting, it really makes me istighfar now and then for its deep Christianity content. But I am confident with my faith, it will not be shaken. Not by this fictional book anyway. But it definitely make me want to visit the Vatican City one day, it sounds like a place with a great architectural view. I am sure The Holy City of Mecca is a gazillion times better, 4 sho!

So this Saturday I am going back to Batu Pahat, looking forward!!! My Cik Zai is going to masak my most favourite of all Jawa food, Nasi Ambang!!! I just love, love, love Nasi Ambang. Somehow its those kind of food that just unite the people who eats them, y’know the whole eating in a dulang thing. I love it! We did it before during Engenius Appreaciation Night. I truly enjoyed myself during that time, too bad we didn’t cam-whore, would have posted it.

I’ve been planning to go to PD to spend some time with my cousins Iqa & Iqbal. My parents wouldn’t let me, in their head, “Buat apa duk rumah orang, macam kita takde rumah je.” Apa nak buat kan, dah parents fikir camtu. But its not like it’s a friends house, its my cousin!!! A close cousin lak tu… I guess they won’t let me go because I haven’t spend much time with them, masa short sem ni pun I dah tak selalu balik. Asyik stay je weekends, I can’t go home always. I need to be away from them in order for me to be, to realize how much I love them. Or not I’ll end up taking them for granted. X C

So anyways, the plan is that dalam perjalanan balik dari Batu Pahat, my dad will send me to Iqa’s house at PD. Alang-alang lah katakana, dalam perjalanan gitu. My dad tu cakap je, will he materialize it god knows!

What else… Oh yeah! The Hills!!!


Lately I’ve been watching a lot of The Hills! And I mean a lot!!! Okay admittedly, primarily its because I love watching the 1st season. It was the season that, I truly like Heidi’s character. She was so real. Stripped of her make-up, stripped of her stupid slang that she starts to adopt when she started to date Spencer and stripped of her dream to be this superstar. I just love the real Heidi, the 1st season Heidi. So the next thing you know, I was watching the second, and third season.

ALL THIS DURING STUDY WEEK & EXAM WEEK!!! Can you imagine, studying Physics, Chem Lab & Computer while watching The Hills. It was literally, Interference of Waves - Spencer & LC drama, Ideal Gas Law – Brody & Jen Bunney hooked up then Microcomputers – Heidi moved out of the apartment. It was literally study with drama all mixed up, X D

The most ironic part was that, since between my engineering roommates, I was the first to MERDEKA. My last paper was Computer, then I was free!!! My roommates on the other hand have a 2.30 paper, MATH 2!!! So while they were preparing for the exam, I was enjoying my freedom by watching the 3rd season of The Hills. So Ilee was going to eat her lunch and she asked me, “Atiqah, ko nak sikit tak?” generously offering her lunch to me.

And I find myself, unconsciously of course, replying to her. “No thanks, I’m like… FULL.” Then we both sort of burst into laughter, I was in my “The Hills” accent. It was so ridiculous.
I realized I’ve typed enough, I will try to update me blog more often.

BASUH BAJU PAKAI TANGAN!!!

Among many things that I have learned while living in a dormitory (sort of, I don’t know if Mahallah Aisyah cuts it) is that sometimes, and not all the time (but since there’s only 3 *beep*ing washing machine in this HUGE dorm, it’s ALMOST ALL THE TIME) I’ve come to the conscious that once in a while, washing clothes with my bare hands is necessary. *groans* Not my favourite thing to do, simply because most of the girls here lived in a dorm before so basically they can wash their clothes with their eyes closed but me!!! Mua!!! I’m new mmmaaa! The trip back from washing clothes with my own hand is almost always filled with laughter and cynical comments as I always go back half-drenched, soaking wet from top to toe. Like, I just had a shower. *sigh*

I’m getting good at it though, *lied*. Okay I’m not, that’s why my strategy is to wash my clothes when other girls are in class: Monday evening. Puurrfect! I just did it a few hours ago, and it worked. They weren’t so many girls, just two who saw me (my trousers especially) soaking wet. So it wasn’t that embarrassing I suppose. I can get half-drenched now without worrying about the snickers and… eye-rolling.
I realized I haven’t updated my profile in like, a gazillion years. Totally aware of that.

But now with finals over, I can now officially try 2 update it every single day. Insya-Allah...

KUWAIT, HERE I COME!!!

So the day started on a bad note. My dad was all in a bad mood. My mom and I planned 2 go 2 Midvalley 2 find myself a nice pair of trousers and a jumper. Didn't happen. Thanx 2 my dad "spring cleaning" fever. Yelling me to do this, yelling me to do that. *groans* Like I'm a semi-adult now, wats wrong wif asking me nicely.

Instead we went 2 some unknown shopping mall which is sooo hollow and lacking of visitors. Like it was literally, the most boring shopping mall I've ever been. It was juz like, filled wif chinese stores and chinese customers. Medan Selera diaorg sucks! Makanan semua sejuk2, =<

The day b4, I've promised a friend 2 lepaq at maple. When things seem unlikely 2 happen, it finally did. And I'm glad I did hang out wif topeq, ayuq & iqmal. They're my drinking buddies in a way (minus ze alcohol). Yesterday we covered every topic possible, from excess skin out of dieting, types of dies (low carbs & even tapeworm diet), some professional bicycle rider in these ridiculously  tight shorts to... to everything really. Among the main topics discussed was how Topeq looked skinny! I mean, that dude lost some major weight alright. And the zac efron hairdo, wwwooo...

The next thing you know its almost isyak. I did sum last minute packing, faruq finally came 2 give me & my parents a ride. At first it was a bit awkward... But I 2tally got over it when I was on the phone with my best friend, Zara. At the airport, as we ate our dinner at McD, we waited hours it seems 2 check in our bag. And now I'm waiting outside the C gate b4 entering the aeroplane. Now its 1:28 and the plane is at 3:30 am. Can u imagine??? Dat is a long2 way 2 go alrite. Hopefully when I land in Kuwait I will get 2 update me blog. HOLLA!

People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?

People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the T.V.. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

When people say 'Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too'. Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

When people say 'it's always the last place you look'. Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna kick their asses!

When people say while watching a film 'did you see that?'. No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

People who ask 'Can I ask you a question?'.... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?

When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new.

When people say 'life is short'. What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks 'Has the bus come yet?'. If the bus came would I be standing here, dumbass?
